Gameful learning, is centered around designing environments where students are encouraged to focus on the craft of learning.  Students have autonomy over their learning experience and are encouraged to make self-aware choices regarding how to learn and demonstrate their knowledge of the course material. Gameful courses encourage students to take risks because the structure of the course allows them the ability to recover from failure.”
